SROI is a way of identifying the important impacts an organisation has and putting a financial value on these.
SROI looks at the impacts important to stakeholders, and is valuable in demonstrating the changes or differences created through delivery of products or services.

It is also a valuable tool in identifying areas where the organisation could improve, and can be utilized in conjunction with traditional business planning.

SROI looks at the social, economic and environmental impacts an organisation creates – the real reason why an organisation exists.

Who is SROI for?

SROI is for any organisation or business that wants to understand the changes they create. It is particularly useful for third sector organisations including:

• Social enterprises (to demonstrate their social purpose)
• Community Interest Companies (CIC’s) (to demonstrate their community benefits)
• Charities (demonstrates their public benefit)

The online tool provides a systematic way to enter the information requires for SROI, with access to guidance examples and case studies at each stage to support you.

Additional Support Features

IMPACT also provides you with access to training session and one to one support to enable you to successfully complete the SROI for your organisation.

One of the problems with SROI has been that it is often considered too complex or time consuming for most organisations to undertake. One of the particular areas of complexity has been in finding financial indicators, and impact provides you with access to a database of financial indicators so you don’t have to spend hours researching and finding these figures- which offers real time savings to your organisation.

How does the Impact Service work?

Each organisation pays an annual subscription of £250 to access the online tool and additional support features. This offers exceptional value for money, as the additional support features are worth over £500.

We book you on to the next available training session so you can get started as soon as possible. We track your progress and contact you regularly to offer support.

Each organisation can receive up to two hours of one to one support within the annual subscription fee. Support is provided by telephone and email.
