A pioneering Birmingham hair salon is set to change the face of hairdressing across the city.

Bloomsbury Cutting Edge has launched as a social enterprise – the first of its kind in the UK.

The salon will be staffed by young people who previously had few or no qualifications and an uncertain future.

Marie Thomas, the new manager of Bloomsbury Cutting Edge, is passionate about getting young, skilled people into work.
